Lance Stroll is having a difficult season of debut in Formula 1. Considered by many like the rookie best prepared from Lewis Hamilton after the numerous tests realized during the last year with Williams, the Canadian has not been able to score in any of the first five Race of the campaign. Stroll’s best result so far is 11th place in the Grand Prix of Russia, but on the road to Monaco will be one of the biggest challenges of the season.

“I think in Formula 1 there are many differences from circuit to circuit: grip levels, tires … So you always have to restart and start from scratch. I feel better in every race. It is a matter to continue this way and continue learning. The results are not what we want. We have had bad luck and made some mistakes, but it is part of the learning curve. I feel more and more confident, “explained the Williams driver in statements collected by Crash.net.
Although he admits he still has a lot to learn, Stroll does not want his debut year to be just learning. “I have to think of it as a college year. It’s very complicated. Tires are more difficult to heat than in other seasons. It’s all more demanding and I have to learn from it all I can to go back and be a better driver next time. But that will not stop me from going as fast as I can. I’m not here just to go to school, I’m here to compete.“
