The Great Khali made a surprise appearance during last month’s Battleground event. There he helped Jinder Mahal to retain the WWE Championship in a showdown against Randy Orton .
Khali’s appearance on the PPV Battleground was apparently a one-off deal , although it was also rumored that the original plan was for him to participate in a couples’ fight at SummerSlam .
During his recent interview with Sportskeeda’s Riju Dasgupta , Jinder Mahal spoke about it:
“I would definitely expect it, but for the moment, we have nothing planned. There are no apparitions. It was only for one night for the Punjabi Prison. I’m sure we have not seen the latest from the Great Khali or from us together. When is it going to happen again? That’s going to be a surprise. “
“Many people said on Twitter that Baron Corbin would pick up the briefcase at SummerSlam; I was aware of that and could not get it out of my mind. Obviously I’m relieved.
