First of all it is important to mention that it is by no means confirmed that new semi-fullweight champion Jon Jones and WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar are going to take on the octagon sometime in the future.
But, after everything said by both, having the last word The Beast after saying “be careful what you want, little boy” , there is no doubt that it is a real and interesting possibility that both compete soon.
The first is that the fighter right now has a contract until April with the company of Vince McMahon . Although the boss gave permission for the current champion to fight against Mark Hunt in the UFC last year , he is not guaranteed to do so again.
The second is that USADA, the Anti-Doping Agency of the United States, would have to test Brock Lesnar for at least six months to make sure that it does not make any kind of trap, and that it does not happen again last year .
The third is that after those six months, starting this August, we would be in February. But he also could not make his return to the octagon then because he probably wants to participate in Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania 34 .
This third event of the year will arrive in April, so we are back again after that date. Given that the fighter would need at least a two-month training camp, we are in the summer of 2018.
