Six Bouts That Would Make SummerSlam 2017 Something Special

Top brands from WWE, Raw and Smackdown Live will re-unite for a SummerSlam PPV , which will be held Aug. 20 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The rumors have had their beginning, and the event could be very good if WWE works well on it.

Although there are already several fights almost assured , everything is perfect, so here we present six bouts that would be a success in SummerSlam 2017:

6- Roman Reigns vs Goldberg

Although it does not seem very interesting, it could be. Roman Reigns is at an incredible time in his career, and the opportunity looks better since “The Roman Emperor” currently has no title. Meanwhile, Goldberg has cast doubt on his ability to fight back . A clash between two fortachones of movements and similar characters, although from different periods of wrestling, could be a good thing for the WWE Universe. The winner would have to be Roman Reigns, since Goldberg has nothing more to gain in wrestling and Reigns needs to increase its impulse to continue constructing like the face of the company.

5 – Brock Lesnar Vs. Braun Strowman

Although Roman Reigns was placed as Lesnar’s challenger on SummerSlam , his loss to Great Balls of Fire should give Strowman the place . While there is a chance that this will end up being a multi-man fight , a heads up between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman , WWE’s two strongest and most powerful fighters, could be the right fit. The fight was going to occur originally in Great Balls Of Fire, but due to the injury of Braun Strowman was discarded. The two colossi have met in the ring on various occasions, but have not had a match between them on television. The duel at an event like SummerSlam could be incredible.

4- Roman Reigns vs. John Cena

Rumors suggest John Cena will face AJ Styles at SummerSlam , but because Cena is “free agent”, there is no impediment to seeing him against Roman Reigns, keeping the match with Lesnar for a better occasion. As for technique and movements, it would not have to be a five-star fight, but the important thing would be to see the face of the company face-to-face against whom it claims to be its relay, which would give it historical value.

3- Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. John Cena

John Cena’s wrestling career has been impressive, but it seems to be ending. His current sporadic appearances should serve to have interesting rivalries and give credibility to the new generation. Cena could face Shinsuke Nakamura . The fight could be good both in the ring and in history, as they both know their trade and are widely charismatic. The simple weekly appearances to heat the rivalry would already make this worthwhile.

2- Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. AJ Styles

Both AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura are very talented fighters, they have pitted in New Japan, and WWE fans know what to expect from them. Both share characteristics and their chemistry in the ring is second to none. The two wrestlers are on Smackdown Live, and so the possibility that the combat takes place at SummerSlam seems very large . Of course if you do not do it this time, it ‘s an inevitable struggle to take place from here to the next WrestleMania.

1- Kurt Angle Vs. Triple H

Fights between veterans often have their charm. Stories are usually carried with big promos, and although the confrontations are not very fast or offer too many showy moves, they can be very good. We have already talked about a possible match between Kurt Angle and Triple H and this could be from an incident of Angle with Raw Commissioner and wife of Hunter, Stephanie McMahon. The rivalry could be interesting, in addition to mark the return of Kurt Angle to a ring of WWE.
