The appearance and coronation of brothers Jeff and Matt Hardy to WrestleMania 33 was one of the most epic moments of the evening of Sunday 2 April. For all seemed to indicate that the brothers would not return in the short term to Vince McMahon’s company.

After the boil of the return it was learned that the Hardyz had signed a full-time contract with WWE. But this is not entirely true, as Matt Hardy himself has made it clear that they will still return to the independent circuit to meet several dates they had already agreed and that WWE authorized them to meet, are four events in the companies IWC, PWS and House of Hardcore, where they will fulfill four fights:
- Be next Saturday, April 8 at IWC facing The Fraternity for the IWC Couples Championship.
- On April 21 at the House of Hardcore show at Metuchen SportsPlex in Metuchen, NJ, where hand in hand, Matt will face the innovator of violence, Tommy Dreamer, in a street fight.
- On April 22nd, also in House of Hardcore, but in Philladelphial, PA, together are Matt and Jeff making common cause to face ECW Originals, Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer.
- On April 29, at PWS, in Bristol, TN, where Crazy Steve and Dax Cable will be played, in what will possibly be the last Hardy fight on the independent circuit in a long time.
A gesture of goodwill on the part of WWE for the independent circuit and brothers Jeff and Matt to be able to respect the agreement of the gladiators before, here what Matt himself said:
“WWE indulgently allowed us to meet our previously agreed dates”
